Lead Attorney | R. Nicole Stagg
R. Nicole Stagg is the founder and lead attorney of Stagg and Associates, PLLC, a respected Houston law firm serving clients throughout Harris County and surrounding areas. With more than 21 years of legal experience in Texas, she brings extensive knowledge, strategic insight, and a results-driven approach to every case she handles.
Nicole focuses her practice on family law, criminal defense, and personal injury. She has successfully handled hundreds of divorce cases, including complex property division, post-divorce modifications, adoptions, and contentious child custody and support disputes. As a criminal defense attorney, she is a zealous advocate for clients facing charges ranging from DUI/DWI and assault to robbery, drug offenses, and probation violations. What do you need to create a valid will?

The person creating the will (the testator) has the legal capacity to execute a binding legal document
The testator is of sound mind

In the case of a handwritten will, the document is in the testator’s handwriting and signed by him or her.
